This short loop is not without effort! After a leisurely start along the Jabron greenway to La Bâtie-Rolland, it's on to the Col de Colombier ascent and its sweeping switchbacks.
Description
After this ascent, the descent is pleasant and takes you past the 12th-century Abbaye d'Aiguebelle, a peaceful place to take a break. The southern slope of the Allan ascent then rises before you to reach the small village. Note the breathtaking view of the ruins of the old medieval village on the way down: a fine reward after the effort.
In case of strong Mistral winds, you can do the route in the opposite direction.
